 How long must I commit to working on a travel assignment with Ocean to Ocean Healthcare?

Our travel assignments usually require an 8-13 week commitment. Typical RN travel assignments as well as other assignments range from 8-13 weeks and usually give the healthcare professional the option to extend their assignment. On occasion we do have 4-week travel nurse assignments. Ask our Recruiters for details.

 How many hours per week must I work in my travel RN assignment or allied health assignment?

We guarantee either 36 up to 48 hours per week depending on the facility. This range allows you to earn extra money through the potential overtime you work.

Yes. We have travel RN positions available in many different specialty areas. In most cases, we can match your request for a specific unit.  How can I start my travel nursing career?

In order to become an Ocean to Ocean Healthcare travel nurse you need at least one year of experience within the last two years and must hold a current RN/ LPN license. In addition you will need to complete our application requirements. All required documentation can be downloaded from our website.

 When do I become an Ocean to Ocean Healthcare employee?

You become a Ocean to Ocean Healthcare employee as soon as you start your first assignment. We will pay your employment taxes, 50% of health insurance, and worker's compensation so, you can focus on doing what you do best - nursing. You may also sign up for any benefits that are available, such as health insurance, supplemental insurance or the other various benefits available to you as our employee.

 What happens after I submit my application?

Once we receive your completed application, our Recruiters will contact you personally. They will assess your career needs, travel and clinical preferences, and review all available positions suitable to your interests and qualifications. Your Recruiter will then submit your profile to the facilities you have selected. We advise our facilities to review each profile as soon as possible because we know you’re ready to get to work and good talent gets placed quickly in the healthcare market!

Once you accept a position, we will send you all the necessary documents to get you started on your travel/permanent/interim position.

Our Housing Coordinator will contact you to discuss your accommodation requirements, needs and relocation options. We will also make the necessary travel arrangements for you.

Yes. If you'd like to cover your own housing needs and if the facility agrees, we will pay you a housing allowance. Our service is flexible to your needs and the needs of our Facilities.

Yes, you may bring pets on an assignment. Most housing accomodations require specific pet deposits or pet clauses requiring an extra charge or deposit. Please check with our Housing Coordinator on pets.

Absolutely! We specialize in permanent placement and interim management position in all 50 States. Our nurses receive full benefit of our service whether they are looking for a travel assignment or permanent placement.
